Amsterdam has got a brand new nightclub, Parallel

Taking over the space formerly known as Tolhuistuin/Paradiso Noord

A new nightclub has opened in Amsterdam.

Parallel is the newly renovated club that has taken over the formerly known Tolhuistuin/Paradiso Noord.

The venue's opening party on March 12 saw a headline appearance from DJ Lag with Paramida and Eclair Fifi performing last weekend.

Parallel will be hosting nights throughout April with acts such as Josey Rebelle, Karenn, Pangaea, JASSS and PC Music to run a label showcase in early May.

Events at Parallel will be a mix between in-house bookings as well as, working with a variety of Amsterdam-based promoters.

Resident Advisor spoke with Joshka Landsheer, from Parallel's marketing team, who said: "Parallel isn't about big headline DJs but about people connecting and enjoying (new) music and art together.

"With one foot in the now and one foot in the future, we showcase multifaceted club nights and live acts in a broad variety of genres related to electronic and hip hop music, from amapiano to UK garage and from techno to Afro house."
