Outlook Festival is launching a new UK-based edition

Outlook UK will take place in Cheshire next July

Iconic Croatian-based soundsystem festival, Outlook, is heading to the UK for the first time in 2022.

The event is set to take place in Cheshire’s Cholmondeley Castle and will start on June 30, 2022, running for four days until July 3.

Outlook UK will continue to celebrate soundsystem culture and bass music much like its early beginnings, where it began in Pula’s Fort Punta Christo some 15 years ago.

Now, the name transfers to a similar event with all the same trimmings - punters can expect DJs, crews, collectives, MCs, rappers, labels, and more across the four-day event.

“Over the last 14 years, Outlook Festival has been an incredible party, but underpinning it has been this community of people with a love of this music and culture,” said Outlook’s co-founder, Joe Barnett.

“We’ve seen countless dubplates made, new partnerships forged, tunes produced and friendships made, and to have the ability to bring that together again on UK soil is amazing.”

Although the bill has yet to be announced, Outlook promises a selection of "past guests and regulars", with past headliners including Mala, Goldie, Channel One Soundsystem, D Double E, and labels and collectives such as Kiwi Rekords and 24hr Garage Girls.

The festival is set to take place in the gardens of the 19th century Cholmondeley Castle, near Chester. The idyllic landscape boasts lakes, greenery, and a "diverse range of stages, spaces, and surprise spots to backdrop the festival experience."
