Laurent Garnier set to headline the return of OFFSónar

Nina Kraviz will also be headlining the spin-off event

OFFSónar is set to go ahead at the end of this month with the latest headliner just announced: Laurent Garnier.

The two-night event is an offshoot from Barcelona’s famous Sónar Festival, which was postponed this year due to ongoing restrictions. In its place, OFFSónar will go ahead from October 29 - 30.

A regular on the Sónar circuit, Laurent Garnier has just been announced as a headliner for Saturday’s Poble Espanyol event, while Friday night will be headed up by Nina Kraviz.

Despite Sónar Festival not going ahead this year, SónarCCCB 2021 will take its place from Wednesday, October 27 until Saturday, October 30, coinciding with the offshoot event. This time around, SónarCCCB will take place across the city of Barcelona with talks, workshops, panels, and DJ sets.

The festival was given the go-ahead after Catalonia’s restrictions were lifted earlier this month. From October 8, clubs in the province - which includes Barcelona - were allowed to reopen at 60% capacity.

COVID passes are now required for entry, but now have a curfew at 3:AM. When clubs reopened in June, they were swiftly shut back down following a surge in cases. Meanwhile, Ibiza clubs are on their way to reopening at full capacity, although they have some of the tightest restrictions in Spain.

OFFSónar will be one of Spain’s first events to run since the start of the pandemic. Playing alongside Laurent Garnier on Saturday night is Mystery Affair and Angel Molina. In the second room on Friday night, Shlomi Aber, Anika Kunst, and NRDX will join the line-up alongside Nina Kraviz.
