Honey Dijon shares video for new single ‘It’s Quiet Now’
The producer delivered her second album today, November 18
Honey Dijon is back with her second full-length record, ‘Black Girl Magic’, accompanied by a brand new music video featuring Dope Earth Alien.
The video for ‘It’s Quiet Now’ landed earlier today ahead of the release of the DJ and producer’s sophomore record, directed by LA vocalist and visual artist, Cor.ece.
The music video follows two protagonists, played by Clare Richè and Brandon Lucas, with the intention to highlight the ‘intimate and emotional' experiences of trans women. Watch it below.

“What was most important for me about directing ‘It’s Quiet Now’ was making sure I told a story that was not only revealing and raw, but also empowering for the protagonist at the centre,” said director Cor.ece.
“We get to witness peace that is earned–and fought for. I don’t think we can see enough depictions of real self-love… ‘It’s Quiet Now’ is already one of those special tracks that is not only seductive for the dancefloor, but it tells a story.”
He added that he and Honey “wanted to bring this story to life” in just three minutes. “We get a full arc from pain to romance to true liberation,” he said.

The music video accompanies Honey’s second record, following 2017’s ‘The Best Of Both Worlds’, landing today on Defected Records' Classic Music Company. The 15-track album features artists including Channel Tres, Mike Dunn, and Josh Caffe.
“This album is dedicated to love. Love of music, community, but most of all the love of self,” Dijon explained of her new record. “Being true to who you are in spite of everything else and having the courage to love fearlessly.”
Earlier this month, Honey Dijon was awarded in New York City for her pioneering work in the LGBTQIA+ community. The lifetime achievement award, titled The Queer Visionary Award, saw the DJ and producer honoured as an “artistic pioneer”.
