New Melbourne day festival Living Room has announced its inaugural line-up and a location in the heart of the city.

Detroit live techno dons Octave One (pictured) will headline the October 13 event at Federation Square's The Paddock, with London producer Enzo Siragusa and local legend Boogs also unveiled and more still to be announced.

Experienced organisers Novel ask attendees to "imagine an outdoor living room - couches, rugs, lamps and the comforts of home, all underneath the Melbourne skyline," for their latest project.

"Now add some international music-makers, state of the art sound, lighting, food, markets and most importantly a dance floor of like-minded party enthusiasts."

They're also hosting DJ Koze, Gerd Janson and Charlotte de Witte at B3 on September 27. Check out ticketing information for Living Room here.
