A new creative platform and club series has launched in Newcastle, SKIN.
Its first set of club nights - entitled 'SKIN001 Opening Connection' - invite Eris Drew, OK Williams, GiGi FM, Lukas Wigflex, D.Dan and a special event TBA, to headline club events between November and March.
Proud of its location, SKIN also sets to celebrate local Northern talent, with Westy, Bunney, Luke Daniels and Janay as residents.

“SKIN is for everyone," explains co-founder Will Welsh. "We are building a sanctuary of self-expression via creativity and music."
For each season - which plans to include explorations of contrasting cultures and area developments across cities across the North East through live events, visual art and community engagement - a new visual artist-in-residence will be invited to produce a piece of art to associate the season with a new identity. In producing the work, artists are encouraged to consider the North East region and its people to build understanding of the area's contribution to club culture.
Alfie Allen and Max Marshall take the reins for SKIN001, taking inspiration from the symbolism and social architecture of the North East from the 20th century added to classic rave memorabilia.

“Culture is built on people, so we wanted it to feel like some kind of subliminal flashback to all of the social history that has come before," explains Allen.
