Nashville’s “first of its kind nightclub” to open in March, Night We Met

Night We Met aims to become the “greenest” club in the US

A brand new nightclub is heading to Nashville, Tennessee, next month, said to be the “first of its kind” in the city.

Night We Met is due to open its doors in March from the team behind Deep Tropics, a Nashville-based music festival with a focus on sustainability. The club aims to nurture a "forward-thinking nightlife culture in one of the fastest-growing cities in the US”, per the club’s founders.

The club will be spread across multiple rooms, each fitted with a Void Acoustics soundsystem. “Night We Met is an independent multi-room nightclub centred around dance music in Nashville, TN,” reads the club’s website.

“Our space is focused on bringing a modern, immersive & elevated nightclub environment to Music City, unlike anything it has ever seen.”

Night We Met also promises to highlight both national and international DJs, as well as local artists from the Tennessee area in a bid to "build an ecosystem” and create a new music community in Nashville.

The club is set to team up with Nashville-based promoter Full Circle Presents to curate club nights, with a focus on house, techno, and deep house, focusing solely on dance music.

“Partnering with Full Circle has allowed us to continue the momentum of the rapidly developing Nashville dance music scene,” says the club’s founders. “We want to plant our flag in the ground as a premier dance music destination in the south.”

As a pledge to become “the greenest club in the US”, Night We Met will also commit to “eco-conscious practices” including implementing reusable cups and banning single-use plastics.

Often dubbed America’s ‘Music City’ (though mostly known for country and western music), Nashville currently sees regular pop-up dance music events in the city but lacks "dedicated" clubs focused on dance music, per a 2019 interview with Nashville House Syndicate, an electronic collective made up of six friends striving for a dance music community in the city.

Co-founder Kevin explained that one of the issues they faced was a lack of a dedicated venue. “It needs one club owner who gets it and is passionate about and loves dance music,” he said.
