Mr. G calls out Roland for using his name on a TR-8S drum kit
"This ain't cool"
Mr. G has confronted Roland for naming a preset drum kit after him on the company's TR-8S drum machine without his permission.
Roland released the TR-8S back in March of 2018. According to Mr. G, the drum machine's "Mr. G Kit" was created without his knowledge and the company never asked his permission to create a product that bears his name.
"This ain't cool," wrote the UK house artist in an Instagram post. "I gave no permission for this, it's not official and I haven't been asked. When I work with a company, I do it because it's right and something I use!"
According to his representatives, Mr. G has decided to officially distance himself from the product.
