Mahalia announces debut album, 'Love And Compromise'
The 13-track album lands in September
Mahalia has announced details of upcoming debut album, ‘Love and Compromise’.
Comprising 13 tracks, including two previously released singles 'Do Not Disturb' and 'I Wish I Missed My Ex', the rising star's LP will drop on September 6.
The record is executively produced by Felix Joseph, but holding production and writing credits on the album are long-time collaborator Maths Time Joy, DJ Dahi, Sounwave, Sam Dew and Pop Wansel. Featured artists on the record are yet to be announced.
Off the back of her sold-out UK/European tour and a sold-out US tour supporting Ella Mai, the BRIT Critics Choice Award nominee isn’t slowing down any time soon - she's embarking on a vast tour of festivals across the summer, including Glastonbury and Rock en Seine, as well as kicking off a North American tour on September 22, before returning to the UK on November 14 for the first leg of her next European tour.
If the popularity of her EP ‘Seasons’ and her breakthrough success throughout 2018 is anything to go by – topping YouTube’s ‘One To Watch’ list, and being the only musician to make both the shortlists for the BBC Sound Poll and the BRIT’s Critics Choice Award in the same year – then 2019 is set to be her year.
