LYZZA drops new track ‘Lucky You’ and signs to Big Dada Records
The Brazilian artist signs to Ninja Tune’s hip hop imprint
Brazilian-born, Amsterdam-based producer LYZZA has signed to Ninja Tune’s sub-imprint Big Dada for the first time.
The announcement landed alongside the release of her latest single, ‘Lucky You’, a leftfield electronic track featuring the DJ and producer’s own vocals.
“‘Lucky You’ is about granting someone forgiveness even if they haven't asked you for it, for your own peace of mind,” LYZZA said on her latest release which landed on Tuesday, June 7.

‘Lucky You’ is entirely written, produced and arranged by LYZZA herself, while R&B singer Charm Mone took on additional writing duties on the new track.
The Brazilian artist also remarked that she’d been working on new music for the “last few years” in a new Instagram post, alluding to potential future releases.
“Can’t believe I can finally start letting you into what I’ve been working on the last few years,” she announced. “So excited to join the Big Dada Recordings and Ninja Tune family.”

Ninja Tune’s sub-imprint, Big Dada Recordings, was set up in 1997 by then-hip hop journalist Will Ashon. Taken under the wing of Ninja Tune, Big Dada developed as a platform run for and by Black, POC, and minority ethnic artists.
“I'm really excited to be part of a lineage of many exemplary (Black) artists that have made their mark on music by breaking the mould. Big Dada feels like a movement towards championing uniqueness and I'm happy to be a part of it,” LYZZA said of the signing.
Elsewhere, LYZZA has been making waves with frequent appearances at shows around the world, collaborations with the likes of Nicolas Jaar and Mykki Blanco, and a monthly residency on NTS.
