According to reports, London club Plastic People is sadly closing its doors at the end of this week.
The club, which is located in Shoreditch, had its licence threatened by police back in 2010 and ever since has had to bow to certain pressures in terms of its layout and sound.
In its history, Plastic People has been home to club nights like FWD>> and key figures such as Theo Parrish, Four Tet and Carl Craig have all held residencies there.
Plastic People said "the time felt right to move on", and will close with a 'friends and family' party on January 3 titled 'The Last Dance'. Floating Points, Benny Blanco and Abdul Forsyth and more are all set to play.
While the Shoreditch venue for now looks to be no more, it's worth noting that Plastic People have been in charge of other venues in the past so a new location is always a possibility.
