Livity Sound release fundraiser EP from Ukraine’s Monotronique
The label's share of profits generated from 'No Other Place Like Home' will be donated to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal
Bristol’s Livity Sound has teamed up with Ukrainian producer and DJ Monotronique on a new four-track EP where the label's 50% share the proceeds will be donated to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. The other half goes to the artist.
“Livity Sound presents a special collaboration with Ukraine's Monotronique,” the label announced on Instagram last week. “All profits from this release are split 50/50 with the artist,” they added.
“‘No Other Place Like Home’ was created in solidarity with the wider Ukraine community,” the label says, “sparked by a fresh batch of demos Monotronique landing in the Livity Sound inbox”.

Born in Ukraine’s Kharkiv, Monotronique - real name Roman Kurhan - is well known to the Kharkiv music scene having spent his entire life in the city he once called home.
“As a DJ he is known on the Kharkiv club scene making regular appearances at clubs such as Zhivot, where he is a resident, spinning his eclectic selections with a focus on underground house, techno and bass leaning dance music,” wrote Livity Sound.
Half the proceeds from the producer’s latest project will go toward the artist himself, who has previously released on labels such as Opal Tapes, Banoffee Pies, and Hyperboloid Records.
