Live Nation to implement TSA Pre-Check Enrollment at music events

Although the company is sparingly using the system at this point

Select concert attendees will be able to use the fast pass lane at select Live Nation events as the entertainment company is teaming up with an agency to implement pre-check enrollment, which is commonly used in airports by the Transportation Security Administration.

Signing up for the service will require attendees to be enrolled in TSA Pre-Check or individuals can apply onsite. To apply, you will have to present a valid ID, proof of US citizenship and $85. If approved, the enrollment will be valid for five years.

Pre-screened attendees will have the ability to present their ID along with their Known Traveler Number when they enter a festival. This will allow them to receive a Fast Pass wristband that can get them into the festival at a faster rate throughout the weekend.

So far, Live Nation has used the new system at Washington’s Watershed Festival along with smaller festivals in the south, and will soon expand to Las Vegas’ Harvest Country Music Festival and New York’s The Meadows Music & Arts Festival in the coming months.
