Leeds' Released Records return with another instalment of 'Winging It' V/A

The digital-only record spotlights those making waves in the city's downbeat, Balearic and electronica realms.

Leeds' Released Records has shared the latest instalment in its 'Winging It' V/A series, gathering together new releases plus a selection of "slept on" cuts from the label and record store's back catalogue.

The second of the series, it aims to showcase those making an impact in the city's downtempo/downbeat, Balearic and broader electronic scenes.

Those involved include Chris Dawkins, Wulls, The Local Beatnik (who all return following features on the debut instalment) plus Bruce Leeds, Shauna (pictured) and Ahano Brown.

"'Winging It' really captures how vibrant and diverse Leeds' electronic scene is," Shauna explains. "It's a proper melting pot of sounds, you can really hear the influence from beyond electronica into jazz and hip hop as well.

"It's really exciting to be on a comp that lets upcoming producers who are currently pushing the scene forward sit alongside legends like Bobby O'Donnell and Tom Stewart."

"'Winging It' is a snapshot of where we're at with electronic artists in Leeds." continues project co-ordinator Tony Green. "[There is] The spirit of the record shop, the older generation of artists and the new talent forming new friendships and collaborations for the future."
