Julio Bashmore returns with first single in eight years, ‘Bubblin’

The track, which is Bashmore's first release under his moniker in eight years, has just landed on Local Action Records

British house producer, Julio Bashmore, has released ‘Bubblin’ — his first single in eight years under his primary moniker.

The track, which lands today via Local Action, marks Bashmore’s first outing onto the label. It comes almost a decade since his last solo release, 2015’s ‘Knockin’ Boots’.

‘Bubblin’ sees Julio Bashmore return to his signature synth-forward sound, this time turning down the harder style club route with quick vocal chops and a mutated bassline.

The Bristol-based producer, known for his timeless house classics dating back to 2009 such as ‘Au Seve’ and ‘Peppermint’, has produced a handful of white label releases as Bash since taking a step back from his Julio Bashmore alias in 2015.

Today marks the producer’s first return of his Julio Bashmore moniker since the release of his debut album, and will be the first in a series of releases landing this year.

On Friday, Overmono opened their fabric set with Bashmore’s ‘Bubblin’ following the release of their anticipated debut album ‘Good Lies’.

Since breaking out onto the house scene in 2009, Bashmore has released across labels including Dirtybird, Broadwalk, and PMR Records, and worked with a range of vocalists including Jessie Ware and Sam Dew.

Bashmore went under the radar in 2018 following a string of gigs around the UK. His last performance under the alias went ahead five years ago in London.

Since then, the producer has released just one video online where he can be seen playing with a range of hardware at home in Bristol.
