Lady of the House announces winners of production competition
Judges Jaguar, Sam Divine, Becky Hill and Charlie Tee each selected a track
Lady of the House has announced the winners of its production competition.
The competition, launched in May, will give four budding female and non-binary producers the opportunity to release their music on the Lady of the House label.
They will also be given a professional promotional campaign, a remix from an industry name and the chance to perform at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE).
The femme-led record label and promoter enlisted the help of Jaguar, Becky Hill, Charlie Tee and Sam Divine to select four tracks from entrees.

Talking about the competition, Jaguar says: “It was a huge honour to be on the A&R team for the competition. There were loads of great tunes and the quality was really high! I’m excited for everyone who sent in demos, especially those who are going to be getting a release on the label.”
Sam Divine adds: “From the early days of my music career, to where I am now, the power of community within music has always been very important to me. LOTH is a powerful force in championing the presence of women and non-binary artists in the dance music scene, and helping to develop new talent.”

Charlie Tee explains: “There is still so much work to do when it comes to gender discrepancies in electronic dance music. We’re still seeing unequal pay for women in similar roles to men and not enough women on show and festival lineups.
"Representation is such an important part of progression and that’s where initiatives like Lady of the House are beneficial," Charlie continues. "Elevating women in the scene and creating a call to action to highlight what needs to change is so important.”
All the winning tracks will be released on October 14, with the artists set to perform at LabelWorx’s 15th Anniversary event and closing for Seth Troxler at the ADE Mixer 5th anniversary.
Lady of the House will also be hosting ADE panels with Spinnin’ Records on October 19, as well a panel called ‘Harnessing the Power of Dance Musics Gender Parity Initiatives’ on October 21.
