Iration Steppas to be featured in a new documentary

‘Ina Vanguard Style’ is to be released in early 2022

Leeds-based duo Iration Steppas are to be the focus of ‘Ina Vanguard Style’, a documentary on their story by Dubquake Records.

It’s presented by Hometown Promotion Soundsystem and covers the collective’s roots within dub music.

The documentary is due to be released on February 6 on Vimeo.

It delves into their West Indian community and their experimental productions blending Jamaican influences with dub, acid house, hip-hop, house and techno sounds - the self-proclaimed ‘Inna Year 3000 Style’ reflecting their unique, futuristic dub.

At the same time of the documentary’s release, a limited number of DVDs are due for release via Bandcamp.

Dubquake released a 12-inch vinyl record bundle, entitled ‘90s Classic Cutz Package’, available now.

Since their founding in the early 90s, Iration Steppas’ sound has become famous for hosting Subdub nights in Leeds West Indian Centre, alongside playing globally and inevitably working on dubs in their High Rise Studio.
