IMS to launch longest ever Ibiza season for 2022 with April conference

After two-years on hold, the International Music Summit will return in April 2022 in Ibiza

Following two years off, the International Music Summit has announced plans to move a month earlier for its return in 2022, signalling a launch of the longest Ibiza summer season to date.

As more and more festivals and club nights plan to reappear in Ibiza, IMS will start the celebrations by addressing the core values on rebuilding the music industry following the pandemic.

From April 27 to 29, the three-day-event will take place at the Destino Pacha Ibiza Resort and host the IMS Legends Award dinner, the wellness platform The Art of ARETÉ, masterclasses from The IMS College x Point Blank Education Hub, and more.

The summit is to be co-presented by co-creator of IMS Pete Tong as well as DJ and BBC Radio 1 broadcaster Jaguar.

For the first time, IMS will have a ‘no-panel’ policy and instead hold a series of keynotes, lectures, conversations, workshops, and sessions with industry leaders.

The event will see many opening parties, events across the island and the legendary IMS Dalt Vila seven-hour closing the event in Ibiza Old Town.

IMS co-founder Ben Turner says: “We’re removing the multi-person panels to allow bigger amplification of thinking from less dominant but equally as inspiring individuals - you will not hear the ‘panel’ word at IMS Ibiza Summit 2022! We can’t wait to help open the Ibiza season alongside our fellow club owners and operators on the island.”

New co-host Jaguar said: “Co-hosting IMS Ibiza Summit 2022 with the legend Pete Tong is truly a dream come true. I’ve learnt so much from attending the summit over the years and I feel so strongly about bringing through the next wave of electronic artists and opening doors for my generation. I’m excited to head up forward-thinking conversations and inspire and get to know new artists.”

Badges to the summit are on sale now via their website or Skiddle.
