Honey Dijon, Eris Drew and Midland confirmed for new Nottingham festival

Wigflex City Festival hits Nottingham on May 5

Nottingham promoter Wigflex is launching a new citywide festival.

Titled Wigflex City Festival, the one-day event will take place in May 2019.

So far the likes of Eris Drew, Call Super, Midland, Avalon Emerson, Honey Dijon and more have been confirmed for the inaugural edition. They’ll be joined by the likes of SPFDJ, Shanti Celeste and Different Circles honcho Mumdance, who's locked in for what’s sure to be an electrifying b2b with DJ Stingray.

Alongside the musical line-up, Wigflex City Festival will also offer a free daytime programme focused on well-being, which will be open to children and families. The programme will feature panels, workshops, art installations and local projects, with more details still to be revealed.

Speaking via a press release party founder Lukas Wigflex explained, “Coming from a city like Nottingham where creativity is rife but recognition doesn't necessarily follow suit, we want to shine a light on our creative community and give it the attention it deserves.” Adding, “We've always been lucky enough to draw in crowds who bring this really special energy to our parties because eccentricity and creativeness is just in the air up here - but now we want to share that with everyone.”

Wigflex City Festival takes place May 5 in venues across Nottingham. To find out more about Wigflex take a look here, and to grab tickets head over here.
