Grimes is planning to release an “intergalactic children’s metaverse book”
The series will be made as ‘educational art’ for babies and children
Grimes unveiled plans to launch a new series of ‘educational art’ for babies, toddlers, and children.
She announced the series during Avalanche Summit, a blockchain conference that took place last week, that Grimes attended — remotely — to speak about her forthcoming “intergalactic children’s metaverse book”.
“I’m very excited to be partnering with OP3N to launch a series of educational art for babies and small children with the goal of creating a profound experience for babies that is also deeply meaningful to adults,” she said at the conference.

The project, according to Bitcoin.com, is part of $100 million Culture Catalyst initiative created by the Avalanche Foundation and NFT platform OP3N. The initiative puts a stream of money into smaller Web3 projects from artists all over the globe.
“When I first got into Web3, this was the kind of project I was hoping to see,” Grimes said. “I hadn’t dropped any NFTs since the first drop because of the environmental concerns. But I feel totally comfortable launching on Avalanche,” she insisted.
Grimes last released an NFT in March 2021 presenting her collection titled “Warnymph Collection Vol. 1.” in partnership with NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway. The collection sold for $6 million.

Now, the Canadian artists will venture back into the world of blockchain projects under the $100 million initiative set up by Ava Labs president John Wu.
“The Avalanche Foundation’s Culture Catalyst Initiative with OP3N marks a watershed moment for entertainment and pop culture applications on Avalanche,” Wu explained.
“Users can expect the already robust Avalanche NFT scene to grow into new areas and be part of a fresh chapter in the history of culture on Web3.”
