Glastonbury announces tribute plans for The Prodigy’s Keith Flint

The Keith Flint Appreciation Hour DJ set will feature an unreleased The Prodigy remix

Glastonbury Festival has revealed it will be hosting a special tribute to The Prodigy’s late frontman Keith Flint at its 2019 edition.

The Prodigy were due to perform this year but cancelled all forthcoming gigs in the wake of Flint’s death in March.

The tribute will take the form of a DJ set called the Keith Flint Appreciation Hour from guitarist Gizz Butt, who toured with The Prodigy just before the turn of the millennium.

Its scheduled to take place on June 27 in Shangri-La, and will feature an unreleased Prodigy remix that was made in 1996 but never saw the light of day.

Butt said: "It'll be a tribute to Keith, the family, the band and all the loyal fans.

"But also, it goes out to anyone who may be suffering the same feelings that Keith had - that led to his untimely death."
