Glasgow's New World announces line-ups for former site of The Arches
The new venue will welcome the likes of Denis Sulta, Fra.zier, Hannah Laing, Mauro Picotto and more
Eight years after its closure, the site of Glasgow’s iconic nightclub The Arches is re-opening as New World.
The new event space will open this December, with six nights already announced — kicking things off with a launch party on December 17 featuring Hayley Zalassi, Nightwave and a secret headliner.
After this, New World will be running regular nights including Fra.zier’s Open Till Close night with Gary Beck and Blasha & Allatt.

On December 28, hit-maker Interplanetary Criminal will be joined by a still-to-be-announced headliner for a night with ACLP, Céleste and Sever8 Soundsystem.
Also amongst New World’s first events will be a New Year's Eve party with Glasgow’s own Denis Sulta,LB aka Labat, Dominique, Big Miz and many more.
Formerly home to the legendary nightclub The Arches, the space will still have its iconic railway arches interior.
The Arches closed in 2015 following a decision to restrict its license to midnight by Glasgow City Council.
The club had been running for 24 years and was established by Andy Arnold before it grew to become a world-renowned location for Scotland's dance music scene.

New World is run by promoters Watchtower who also run FLY Open Air festival and other Scotland-based events.
Tom Ketley, Watchtower founder said: “This project is of huge cultural significance for music in Glasgow, Scotland and beyond. The launch of a new large-scale event series in the city centre will bring job opportunities, boost the local tourist economy, and most importantly provide a music space for the next generation to enjoy.”
He continues: “We are running this series as a six-date pilot with view to run 10-15 shows in 2024. Glasgow is legendary for having one of the best crowds in the world and our aim is to champion that by attracting dance music fans from all over the UK and beyond."
Presale tickets will be available on October 5 at 12 PM with general tickets on sale from October 6 at 12 PM. Sign up for presale here.
