SAULT release surprise album ‘Acts of Faith’ consisting of one 32-minute track
The elusive collective shared the new record as a .wav file, available as a free download via WeTransfer
Enigmatic collective SAULT have released a surprise new album, ‘Acts of Faith’, which consists of just one 32-minute track.
In classic SAULT fashion, the record was released on Saturday (July 6) via a WeTransfer link to a .wav file posted on Twitter. The link was paired simply with an image of a TV screen showing a street scene with the words "Acts of Faith" above.
The collective have made a name for themselves as both purveyors of Black-centric music spanning everything from R&B, disco, soul, funk and reggae, as well as their unconventional approach to releasing music and the industry.

Headed by producer Inflo, several members of the collective remain anonymous, performing behind frosted glass at their recent headline show at London's Drumsheds, or concealing their identity through clothing choices.
Although never officially confirmed, members of the group are widely believed to be some of Inflo’s most frequent collaborators, including Cleo Sol, Kid Sister, Chronixx, Little Simz and Jack Peñate.

Fans have speculated that the album launch photo is a reference to SAULT’s innovative live show, where they transformed the 15,000-capacity former IKEA into a multi-faceted maze and installation.
The show was accessible only through an open fridge door, taking visitors on a journey through a series of winding corridors and mirrored gardens to reach the band.
The album is the latest development from the band, with Andre 3000 teasing a potential collaboration with them with back in January in an interview with Gilles Peterson.
