The club also reopens with a commitment to diversifying club culture, vowing to make the venue and its events reflective of London’s multicultural audience. E1 will publish data on the diversity of its programming every three months as a commitment to progressing as an inclusive venue post-pandemic.
Dolan Bergin, E1’s head programmer, shared a statement concerning the club and its new commitments:
"While the COVID-19 restrictions have disrupted the live music industry, we took the opportunity to pause and deconstruct E1 so we can present a new approach to its music programs and communication. We’ve worked hard to create a blueprint for E1 that places diversity at its core, laying the foundation as we continue to develop as a vital platform for culture to support emerging London talent."
