​DJ Stingray launches new record label Micron Audio

DJ Stingray 313 is launching a new imprint under the name Micron Audio featuring his own music, including his highly-anticipated reissue of the 2012 record ‘F.T.N.W.O’.

As a new space for upcoming talent and emerging artists within electro and ‘futuristic sounds’, Micron Audio will first bring an EP from Stingray himself, ‘Molecular Level Solutions’.

The inaugural release on the new imprint hammers home the Detroit DJ’s take on climate change and future-thinking approach to science and politics. Today, Stingray shares his first track from the forthcoming EP, ‘Carbon Neutral Fuels’.

The new EP will drop on September 24, shortly followed by an anticipated repress of the ‘F.T.N.W.O’, nine years after its original release.

Fans have been looking forward to the reissue with one comment on Stingray’s Discogs reading: “Repress please please please please please please please please thx”, and another eager fan asking, “I wonder if we will see a REPRESS?! Vinyl, CD?”

The imprint has been in the works for several years from the former Drexciya tour DJ. Upon release, ‘Molecular Level Solutions’ will run on 12” through the new label.

“The imprint beckons intense electronic sounds, roughened textures and geometries that speak to aguiding principle of making technological advancement accessible to the people,” reads the record label’s description.

“These technoid adventures of sci-fi sound design and arrays of unabating rhythm, draw its listeners through warped microworlds and wicked contortions.”
