Bristol collective Dirtytalk launch Crowdfunder for new venue, Strange Brew
The team have already secured an alcohol licence and planning permission
Bristol promoters Dirtytalk have plans to launch a new music and arts venue, Strange Brew, in the centre of the city.
The crew are currently crowdfunding to finance the Broadmead-based space, which will also feature a late-night cafe-bar and record shop.
They have already secured an alcohol licence and planning permission but the additional money will go towards essential work, including bar and toilet installation, construction works and electricity.
So far, the campaign has raised more than £20,000, around 50% of the target goal.
Dirtytalk co-director Kerry Patterson explains, “running Dirtytalk parties for the last 10 years, we are keenly aware of the decline in the number of Bristol's social and cultural spaces in recent years, a common theme across the country.”
She continues, “Strange Brew is our opportunity to create a much-needed new hub.”
