China’s Electric Jungle festival announces 2018 line-up

Skrillex, Martin Garrix and Galantis are among the names on the bill

The Electric Jungle Festival, one of the largest annual EDM events in China, returns next month for its fourth instalment.

Skrillex, Martin Garrix, and Galantis are among those set to play to over 60,000 people in the coastal province that borders Hong Kong and Macau.

The festival, which encourages attendees “to free yourself from ordinary life, to feel the way your body moves, to realise self-exile” will boast three elaborate stages at the Chuanlord Tourism & Leisure Expo Park in Foshan, Guangdong over December 8 and 9.

The event plays host to three extravagant stages, constructed in cooperation with Skrillex’s design team, and each area of the festival represents a different aspect of technology and nature, with wild animals wandering the park, and an array of rides – such as a sky wheel, bungee and roller-coaster – appealing to adrenaline junkies.

“We want to do some cross-border content with more brands and implant them into the electronic syllables,” said Huang Shizhen, Founder of Jungle Culture (the organisers responsible for the Electric Jungle festival). “There are more options besides music.”

Tickets and full line-up are now available.
