Charli XCX announces new album and tour dates

She's also released new track 'New Shapes'

Charli XCX has just announced a new album, 'Crash', which is set for release in March 2022, alongside new European and North American tour dates. Get tickets here.

The news came after she dropped the first single from the album, 'New Shapes', featuring Christine and the Queens and Caroline Polachek.

Charli XCX announced a release date for 'Crash', on social media. She captioned her posts on Twitter and Instagram: "CRASH . the new album . march 18th . pre order now ".

Her new track 'New Shapes' follows her September single 'Good Ones'. In 2021, Charli XCX collaborated with Joel Corry and Jax Jones ('Out Out'), Elio (the 'Charger' remix), the 1975 and No Rome ('Spinning'), and Bladee and Mechatok ('Drama' remix).

For her album 'Crash', she collaborated with an array of high profile producers and artists, including Rina Sawayama, Oneohtrix Point Never, A. G. Cook, the 1975’s George Daniel, and Ariel Rechtshaid.

In a statement, Charli XCX claimed that she “possessed and persuaded” her extensive list of collaborators using her “femme fatale powers and a multitude of dark spells and curses".

“They will all remain locked in my basement forever.”

Charli XCX confirmed in a press statement that this is the fifth and final album in her current record deal.
