Cakes Da Killa drops an animated video for 'New Phone Who Dis'

Rising hip-hop star Cakes Da Killa has collaborated with Red Bull Sound Select for a new lyric video, ordering up a brazen serving of literal illustrations for his recent 'New Phone Who Dis'.

Animated and effectively entertaining, Cakes enlisted director Ben Clarkson with Adult Swim on issuing duties.

The track is a quick charge to youth culture, with the artist cutting fierce lyrics of his unashamed high-maintenance style, lack of patience and hard-to-forget flow. A clear statement on the now-standard routine of social media and digital communication, 25-year old Cakes sharply integrates impressively relevant and resonating messages into a catchy rap original.

'New Phone Who Dis' will officially release with Cakes Da Killa's 'Hedonism' album on October 21. Watch the video below.
