Amsterdam’s VBX announces 10th birthday celebrations with marathon party and European tour

Two-day party in Dutch capital will take place over three venues, with the likes of Zip, Francesco del Garda, Voigtmann and Malika announced

Influential Dutch party VBX has announced its 10-year anniversary celebrations with a two-day party in its home city of Amsterdam.

It will take place between March 18 and March 19 across three venues in the city – LOFT, LOFI and BRET.

Saturday daytime at LOFT will see Voigtmann, Praslea B2B VBX resident Reiss, and Malika open the proceedings, before migrating to LOFI in the night time, where legendary Perlon head honcho Zip will headline, playing along with Ion Ludwig, Francesco del Garda and Christian AB.

Sunday will bring the afterparty to its regular haunt of shipping container turned music venue BRET, where the all-day afterparty affair will see the likes of Makcim, Toi.Toi resident Junki Inoue, Frank Haag, Doudou MD and Alexia Glensy bring the marathon to a close.

The party – known for its bookings on the subtler, more minimal side of the house and techno spectrum – will also be setting off on a European tour, with confirmed stops in London, Paris, Barcelona, Zürich, Athens, Berlin, Dhermi and Sofia, and more cities to be announced.

VBX first started throwing parties in 2012, moving through different spots until finding a regular home at 24 hour venue Cruquiusgilde, which lasted until 2016 when the club closed due to new noise restrictions and financial difficulties.

Since then it has predominantly been hosting its events at Shelter and BRET, as well as throwing key parties at the annual Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE).
