Amnesia Scanner & Freeka Tet announce new album ‘STROBE.RIP’
The 12-track LP is coming out via PAN
Amnesia Scanner are joining forces with Freeka Tet for the release of their third album ‘STROBE.RIP’.
The 12-track release is due out via PAN on June 16, coming as part of a “broader series of live performances, installations, videos and physical products created by the group.”
In typically deranged Amnesia Scanner fashion, the LP explores contemporary living, and topics spanning memes, technology and commerce, through the uncanny framework of the Berlin-based Finnish duo’s (real names Ville Haimala and Martti Kalliala) auteuristic and genre-mashing vision.

French-born, NYC-based digital artist Freeka Tet is a fitting collaborator, helping to bring the project to life with visual translation of the complex themes.
“Amnesia Scanner is now living in the world it has built,” say the duo.
Lead single ‘Ride’ is out now, showcasing an experimental Balearic pop sound that still has traces of Amnesia Scanner’s more chaotic offerings.
It arrives alongside a Ruby Aldridge & Freeka Tet directed video following the uncanny travels of a delivery app rider. Watch it below.
