6 Figure Gang have officially parted ways

The DJ group comprising of SHERELLE, Jossy Mitsu, Yazzus and Dobbs have disbanded

UK DJ group 6 Figure Gang have parted ways.

The group, formed in 2019, has originally comprised of all-female and non-binary members including SHERELLE, Yazzus, Dobbs, Jossy Mitsu, LCY and Fauzia.

After taking a break in 2020, the group said that they made the decision to split ways during 2021 after “much thought” and consideration.

“In 2021, we decided to disband the group,” reads a statement posted by both SHERELLE and Dobbs on behalf of all four remaining members.

“We achieved a lot in such a short space of time. We hope we have influenced all femme, electronic music people, alike and we really hope you form your own 6FGs all over the world and take over one club at a time. Shit… even the whole damn scene,” the statement reads.

Originally formed in 2019 with six members, also including LCY and FAUZIA, the group played shows all over the UK including a set at Glastonbury, as well as iconic Berlin clubs.

The group promise to continue playing b2b sets together on occasion and will support each other as much as possible through their continued music careers, which go on individually.

Following SHERELLE’s post, Dobbs also added some of her own words: “Being part of something like 6FG was always a life-long dream.”

“We created an exciting blueprint for feminine-identifying people in electronic music and I just want you to take what we have started and create your own that is bigger and better and brighter," she said.

All four DJs and producers will continue their solo careers, some of which are now overseas. “We love you all lots and thanks for all the love over the years,” the statement finishes.
