Disclosure and Pa Salieu team up on new track ‘King Steps’
“I stepped into Disclosure’s world and together we created an atmosphere that blends where we’re both coming from,” says the rapper
Pa Salieu and Disclosure have teamed up for a new track, ‘King Steps’, out now via Disorder and Capitol Records.
The producer brothers debuted the new single during their recent show at The Warehouse Project on October 25, with Pa Salieu coming out as a surprise guest.
While ‘King Steps’ sees Disclosure lean more into their UK garage roots, Pa Salieu provides his distinctive vocals to create “an atmosphere that blends where we’re both coming from”, says the rapper.

“I’m an Afrikan Alien,” he explains, referencing his recent album of the same name. “And I know that garage music isn’t a genre people might expect me to jump on—but that’s what being an alien is about, moving from planet to planet, sound to sound.”
Meanwhile, Disclosure’s Guy Lawrence says: “We’re excited to continue showcasing the darker, harder side of our sound with ‘King Steps’. UK Garage has always been a core influence in our music, and it’s incredible to see its impact growing so much over the past year."
“Collaborating with Pa Salieu—who’s delivering some of the best music coming out of the UK right now—makes it the perfect time to release this track," he adds.

Following his release from prison in September, the British-Gambian artist has released a slew of music including the singles ‘Belly’, ‘Allergy,’ and ‘Round & Round’, all of which came ahead of his 11-track LP, ‘Afrikan Alien’, out now.
He also dropped two new powerful freestyles ‘Epiphany’ and ‘Crash’, which discuss issues such as corruption, global injustice, poverty, war, prison reform, climate change, and criticise both the former and current UK Prime Ministers.
"My genre is freedom of speech," Pa shares, reflecting the use of his craft as a medium for political activism.
