Submissions wanted for exhibition on Liverpool’s '90s rave scene
Supported by the Museum of Youth Culture, ‘Rave On’ is looking for photographs, memorabilia, flyers, ticket stubs and posters
An exhibition documenting the early days of acid house and history of rave culture in Liverpool is asking for submissions.
Scheduled to display in Liverpool next January, ‘Rave On’ will include archival material of the city's club scene between 1987 and 1999.
Curator Ezra McConachie is asking for photographs, memorabilia, flyers, ticket stubs and posters from the “people who lived through it," reads a statement on Instagram.

These will be displayed alongside photographs by music photographer and former Mixmag contributor Mark McNulty.
The exhibition hopes to showcase the “people, places and communities that made those dancefloors so special”.
It will subsequently hold a permanent place at the Museum of Youth Culture, which is supporting the exhibition.

“Submissions are now open to anyone and everyone," continues McConachie in the statement. "We want to see your pictures, hear your stories and bring back those memories. Share it far and wide."
Last month, October 10, a new photobook documenting the music, fashion and culture of Manchester’s iconic Haçienda nightclub was published.
This too contained memories and photos from the people that attended the venue throughout its decade-spanning heyday, including DJs, fashion designers, performers, clubbers and staff.
