Pa Salieu is out of prison and has dropped a comeback single, ‘Belly’

The track marks the rapper's first new music since 2022

Pa Salieu is free and immediately got back to releasing new music, dropping comeback single ‘Belly’ just days after his release from prison.

The track was produced by long-time collaborators Felix Joseph & AOD, and drops alongside a video directed by Earthboi.

It opens with a loungey beat and the bars “I been gone for a while / But I still make it back to you”, before upping the energy with a stirring beat and chorus.

‘Belly’ marks the first new music from Pa Salieu since Mura Masa and Skillibeng collaboration ‘Blessing Me’ landed in summer 2022.

Near the end of that year, the Gambian-via-Coventry rapper was jailed for 33 months on charges of violent disorder and possessing a bottle as an offensive weapon.

Earlier this week, on September 2, he confirmed his release with posts on social media, captioned with similar words to the opening of his new single.

A press release promises “more Pa Salieu news very shortly”.
