Wuppertal nightclub Open Ground unveils first resident DJs

Josey Rebelle, Tasha, Fadi Mohem, and Elke will make a regular return to the new German club

Wuppertal’s brand new nightclub Open Ground has unveiled the first four resident DJs set to make a regular return to the club.

The venue announced the news on Instagram last week, confirming the first set of residencies: Josey Rebelle, Tasha, Fadi Mohem, and Elke. “Welcome to Open Ground’s first four resident DJs who embody the spirit of the club,” they said.

“Committed to originality, independence and expanding horizons. We invite you to join them with an open mind and share a great experience of soundsystem music in an inclusive, respectful club environment.”

Each DJ will appear at the club over the course of the next four months, with performances from Josey Rebelle and Tasha in May, Fadi Mohem in July, and a set from Berlin’s Elke later this month.

Open Ground first opened in December in Wuppertal, Germany, with four initial club nights from the likes of Mala, Calibre, Al Wootton, Mark Ernestus, and more.

The venue is situated in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of the country in a converted bunker consisting of two rooms - Freifeld and Annex - with a capacity of 600.
