Zac Efron's DJ film is getting released on August 28
'We Are Your Friends' sees Efron playing a struggling DJ in Los Angeles
Remember that film where Zac Efron plays a DJ? It's got a release date.
The High School Musical swoon (let's be honest, that's what he's best known for, right?) became pally with Alesso, Dillon Francis and Classixx during filming, picking up some DJ tips along the way, and you'll be able to see him in action come August 28.
Whether he's actually got skills on the decks remains to be seen, but with the backing of Warner Bros. and directed by Catfish maker Max Joseph, it'll be interesting to see how We Are Your Friends pans out.
But with Efron playing struggling DJ/wannabe big-time producer Cole Carter who falls for his mentor's girlfriend (Emily Ratajkowski), there's a danger the musicality could be lost among yet another Hollywood schmooze fest.
Watch a short teaser of it and check Efron on the decks with Alesso below.
