Woodstock plans a return for its 50th anniversary celebration
The historic festival aims to celebrate half a century
2019 will mark Woodstock's 50th anniversary, and the historic festival brand is looking ahead to begin rolling out plans for a celebration worthy of the half century milestone.
Michael Lang, the original organizer behind Woodstock's 1969 edition, has previously mentioned his desire to revive the festival. Most recently, Lang has revealed that he has progressed in planning and is already discussing with possible partners and scouting different locations.
"[Woodstock] is the original and most famous festival brand. With the prevalence of festivals out there, and all the excitement about them, maybe it’s time for that," Michael Lang said about his idea to reinstate the show.
