Two Fingers
Ahead of his ‘Six Rhythms’ EP, Two Fingers drops jittering banger ‘Cashew Rhythm’
Brazilian producer Amon Tobin, the man behind Two Fingers, has been releasing music since the mid nineties and has garnered a reputation for musical ingenuity.
As Two Fingers, Tobin is set for his debut on Noisia's Division Recordings next week with the 'Six Rhythms' EP. His last release under the name being 'Stunt Rhythms' on Ninja Tune in 2012.
Before the new EP drops, we have the exclusive premiere of 'Cashew Rhythm', the first of six tracks on 'Six Rhythms', and one that sets a high bar for what can be expected from it.
The track's melodic guitar lick and warped bass, which propels it ever forward, is undercut with pummelling synth stabs and jittering reversed samples, resulting in a refreshing cut of experimentation on wax.
The 'Six Rhythms' EP will be released via Noisia on June 22, check out the exclusive stream below
