The Arches is no longer a nightclub
The Glasgow venue has had its 3am license stripped
Glasgow venue The Arches has to shut its doors at midnight from now on.
There were negative reports surrounding the club back in March, specifically an alleged 26 drug and alcohol-related offences in one night and a woman collapsing outside, and now it's had its 3am license stripped.
Despite Police Scotland's efforts to close the venue permanently being branded "unlawful", a licensing board today ruled it would have to close at midnight, which means club nights will be no more. However, art events will continue to run there.
Scuba, Ten Walls, Rustie and Richie Hawtin are just some of the names to have played there in the last year.
