If you're ever feeling glum after a heavy weekend, it's pretty likely listening to Technimatic's tunes will get a smile back on your face in no time.

The duo's type of drum 'n' bass is exactly what you'd want to hear at a festival: all ecstatic vocals, searing strings and build-ups and breakdowns that are bound to make you lose your shit. Don't believe us? Give 'Night Vision' a listen and you'll know just what we mean.

That track's included on their debut album, 'Desire Paths', on Shogun Audio. The LP quickly became an office favourite here, coaxing us back for more time and time again through its moments of delicacy, funky swagger and damn right sweet vibes.

Next up was the 'Flashbulb' EP in 2015, featuring the vigorous 'Dirty Hands', and soon they help Shogun celebrate its 100th release with a track on 'Shogun - 100 (Part 1)' alongside Ulterior Motive, Icicle & Proxima and Friction and Fourward, the latter two's collaboration getting the remix treatment from Alix Perez.

It's another lively, summer-friendly number with 'Transference', laden with high-pitch strings to create a five-minute package of orchestral d'n'b. These guys certainly know how to put a smile on your face.

'Shogun - 100 (Part 1)' is out on March 18 and can be pre-ordered here. In light of its 100th release, Shogun has also curated its top 100 tracks from the past 12 years into a digital-only album, Century, featuring the likes of Spectrasoul, Skream, Commix, Spor and Rockwell. Buy it here
