The never-before-seen images come complete with a Spike Lee tribute to the legendary artist
40 years on from photographer Robert Whitman’s encounter with a then-unknown Prince, Whitman has unveiled a retrospective publication complete with never-before-seen photographs of the late, legendary artist.
According to the press release the photos “provide a wry and honest commentary on Prince’s early style, writing and creative process”, and will be accompanied by new writings, diary entries from Prince’s then-business manager, as well a moving, personal tribute from Spike Lee.
With only 1,200 books set for publication ‘PRINCE PRE FAME’ is sure to be a cult collector item in years to come, and is on sale now exclusively through social networking platform Vero.
