SoundCloud's subscription service launches today
At $12.99 a month, it's called SoundCloud Go and is only available in the US now
SoundCloud's new ad-free app arrives today, offering offline playback and an extended catalogue of artists.
Free for the first 30 days but $12.99 on iOS after ($9.99 for non-iOS users), the streaming service's website states SoundCloud Go will offer "even more tracks", available to listen to without internet access.
Upon launch, only users in the United States will be able to use it and those already signed up to Pro Unlimited will only have to pay $4.99 for the first six months, according to The Next Web.
Coming alongside the update for the iOS SoundCloud app, it follows the recent announcement that Sony Music Entertainment was the final major label, joining Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group, to sign a licensing deal with the Berlin-based company.
