Sei A
Is there any stopping the outrageous form that Aus Music are on?
Anyone who regularly checks the Mixmag music section knows that we've been backing Will Saul's Aus Music for a long time. Every EP that's released on the UK imprint is a sure-fire winner and dancefloor-conquering tracks like 'Trace' by Midland and 'Nobody Else' by Dusky both came via the label.
The latest record to drop on Aus was by house-favourites Bicep and the 'Just' EP is another example of the diverse and forward-thinking music that the label regularly showcases.
Following on from the Irish duo is Glasgow producer Sei A and you should recognise him from his stellar releases on Turbo, Kompakt and Hemlock. He now returns to Aus with 'Gasp' and we've got the premiere.
The tech-house cut wriggles and rolls from start to finish, with elements being subtly introduced throughout. There are trippy vocals, weighty bass hits and a groove that fits the Aus ethos just right.
The 'Gasp' EP is out via Aus on June 15
