Jersey club has become an internationally recognised phenomenon in recent years. Much of the focus on the movement can be credited to the tireless work of seminal crew Brick Bandits who have been pushing the sound since the turn of the millennium.

R3ll is a key figure in the new guard of artists involved in Brick Bandits who are instrumental in the surging popularity of the genre. He’s been throwing parties since he was in high school and earned himself a reputation for explosive club sets that send crowds into frenzies of hype.

The Newark-based artist took charge of the Brick Bandits label’s inaugural release last year, and followed it up with a second record of infectious club heaters last month with the ‘Visions’ EP landing on Dim Mak. Every track on it is killer, but Banvox collaboration ‘Down’ stood out as our favourite, bursting at the seams with fizzing synth lines and irresistible vocal programming.

A selection of remixes is dropping through Dim Mak this Friday, featuring Nightwave putting her own stamp on ‘Down’.

The Slovenian artist moved to the UK in her late teens and has since made an almighty mark on the country’s dance music scene. She’s put out ferocious records on labels such as Unknown To The Unknown and Fortified Audio, founded and curated her own label and party with Heka Trax and Nightrave respectively, and contributed vocals to ‘Surph’ from Rustie’s already-classic ‘Glass Swords’ album. Quite the cv!

‘Down (Nightwave remix)’ is a track that will be guaranteed to have dancers peeling themselves off the ceiling when drawn for in the club. The vibrant mix of quickfire vocal chops, juddering basslines and sparkling outer production is pure dancefloor euphoria. Check it out below.
