Premiere: Only Now delivers thundering club on 'Timeslave'

Infinite Machine is the international imprint with an industrial edge.

The label launched back in 2011, with roots in both Montréal and Mexico City. Since then, thundering, hardcore club constructions have formed the blueprint to the labels’ rapid success. With established experimental bass producers like WWWINGs, Zíur and Bwana finding their feet on the label, what Infinite do next is always one to watch.

Only Now, AKA Bay Area producer Kush Arora ,is next to step up to the plate with a debut EP, ‘Timeslave’, forthcoming on the imprint. It follows on from his recent contribution to the SUBPAC Optimized series, sharing a platform with the likes of Pinch, Kode9, Zora Jones and Ikonika.

First tune, 'Timeslave’, taken from the upcoming release, is as melodic as it is robotic. It ends on a cinematically dark note: think haunting horror movie sequences and crackling white noise. However, the lines between ambience and pure low-end bass weight wobble throughout, with an almost orchestral vibe that showcases the shared passion for the dark side both Arora and Infinite appear to possess.

Only Now’s ‘Timeslave’ EP is due June 30 on Infinite Machine. Check out title track ‘Timeslave’ premiering below.
