Premiere: Josh Butler delivers bumping tech-house for Kaoz Theory
An impressive debut
Josh Butler is going from strength-to-strength.
The talented northerner has become one of house music’s most sought after talents with his brand of deep tech and has worked with some of the dance world’s biggest names, from Nile Rodgers to Fatboy Slim.
Collaborations aside, Butler has also forged a solo career that’s seen him release on imprints like Strictly Rhythm, Defected and Cajual. Now he’s linking up with Kerri Chandler again, having previously released on the legend's Madtech Records.
The ‘Sunday Club’ EP sees Butler make his debut on Chandler’s Kaoz Theory label with four originals and a remix of the title track from FUSE London’s Seb Zito.
‘Sunday Club’ is a classic, dubby tech-house stomper. Filled to the brim with warm filtered pads, driving drums and aggressively warping bass stabs, there’s no doubt it’ll be a highlight across dancefloors this year.
