Premiere: Goro delivers a pacey percussive workout with ‘Secrets Riddim’

Nostro Hood System is the independent record label founded by Bristol-based producer Galtier.

Known for their eclectic constructions skittering around the frameworks of club and culture, Bulgarian producer Goro is next up to release on the imprint, with a debut album titled ‘Remember Who You Are’. The five-track EP is said to be inspired by the spirituality of India, with clear influence heard in both the vocal arrangement and the melodic instrumentals.

Today we’re premiering ‘Secrets Riddim’, a vicious synth explosion laced with fast-paced, frenzied percussion. It switches up from dancehall to funky with the clock of a gun, rolling through the three-minute mark with electrifying ease.

Like the rest of the release, it stomps through the hazy boundaries of experimental bass with dissipated energy. Another standout track is the club-ready ‘Nagina’, with a baile-funk, hard drum inspired remix courtesy of Salviatek’s newest signee Superfície, rounding off the conceptual cut with rip-roaring tension.

Goro’s ‘Remember Who You Are’ is out June 26 on Nostro Hood System.
