Premiere: Blawan’s ‘993’ is grisly, pounding techno at its best

It’s been a while since we last heard solo Blawan material but, boy, has it been worth the wait.
The Berlin-based British expat will drop double EP ‘Nutrition' on his own TERNESC imprint, featuring six tracks of uncompromising, warehouse-ready techno.
‘993’ is the pick of the bunch. With a snarling bassline, pounding kick drum and sinister pads, it’s just the kind of track you want to find yourself sweating to in a dank basement in the early hours. And that’s what techno is all about, right?
