London venue Power Lunches is shutting down.

The news was announced with a Facebook event detailing a "goodbye party" on December 19, featuring The Glugg, Sauna Youth, Not Sorry, The Rebel and some unidentified DJs.

Donations of £5 are being asked for entry, although you can give what you wish so the acts playing can be paid.

There's been a load of love on Twitter, with one saying he's "really going to miss it when it's gone" and another describing it as "vital" for new artists.

Although bands take precedent at the farewell bash, plenty of DJs have played in the 100-capacity basement in the past, including ScratchaDVA, Visionist, Akkord and Livity Sound affiliate Batu.
